The group endeavors for sustainable wellbeing of the stakeholder communities by addressing economic, environmental and social issues and challenges.
The Group works on projects across the country to achieve the aforesaid objective with focus on critical areas such as Water Conservation, Livelihood Enhancement and Education that help the communities and have a long term impact. CSR projects of the Group are designed on the principles that indigenous knowledge and skills of the local community are important towards sustainable development. From creating awareness to implementation and ensuring sustainability, the projects encourage proactive participation from stakeholders, local bodies and recognized NGOs.
The Group has been conferred with the “Best CSR Award” in the 8th Edition of the Corporate Social Responsibility Summit and Awards, organized by the UBS forum.
The DS Group was awarded by the Union Tribal Affairs Minister Mr. Arjun Munda for its water conservation project, Water Economic Zone (WEZ) in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in the category of Environment Sustainability at the 20th FICCI CSR Awards. The aim of the award is to identify and recognize the efforts of companies in integrating and internalizing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The DS-CSR received 8th CSR Impact Award in the Environment (large) category for WEZ at Kurabad, Udaipur. The CSR Impact Awards provide an opportunity to appreciate project-specific impact made by the organizations in particular thematic areas to set the benchmark in project planning to project implementation.
Project SAAMYA was recognized as the "Gender Equality Initiative of the year 2022-23" by Indian Social Impact Award. Social impact Awards 2023 is an initiative by Indian CSR Awards organized by Brand Honchos to recognize & felicitate those Social Leaders, Thought Leaders, and institutions who are making a positive social impact in society by minimizing inhuman practices With the vision of "Fostering Sensitized Boy for a Gender Equitable Society, Project SAAMYA works with young boys of ages 8-11 years on Gender, Equity, Empathy & Respect through the activity-based workshop, training sessions, and discussions.
Dharampal Satyapal Limited was a third joint winner in the category 'Best Industry for CSR Activities' at the 3rd National Water Awards, 2020.
The award was given by Union Minister of Jal Shakti Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to the organizations, who have done exemplary work in the field of Water Resource Management.
The 'Rubber Tappers’ Training Program,' was awarded in the category of 'Unique Skill Development' by "Think Media INC Best CSR practices award 2013".
The Company has also received a special recognition award by ‘AAJ TAK CARE AWARDS 2013’ in the Empowerment category for the same program.
In 2011, the Company was conferred with the award by Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre Award for ‘EXCELLENCE IN WATER MANAGEMENT - BEYOND THE FENCE’ for the Safe drinking water project in Assam.
